Bayley Marshall is no stranger to WCHL awards. After all, he has been recognized 3 years in a row - 2 years with the University of Arizona and 1 year with (UCO) University of Central Oklahoma.
Since Bayley Marshall transferred from UCO he has been nothing short of spectacular. Last season he began his Wildcat campaign with perhaps one of the best individual seasons in recent memory, putting up an unbelievable 74 points in 38 games played - winning the WCHL M.V.P.
Beyond the statistics, he was able to establish himself has a leader very early on, as he was named assistant captain after only one semester with the team. Since then he has played an integral role on both of the Wildcats championship seasons, marking his 3rd straight WCHL Conference Championship (2019 & 2020 with University of Arizona and 2018 with UCO).
“Bayley is as complete of player as you will find in this league,” said coach Berman. “His work ethic and persistence on pucks is what make him an absolute pain to play against. But if you really watch the film and look past the scoresheet, you will see a kid who is even better within the details of the game and can turn nothing into something. He is usually at the top of our list in shot blocks, our best face off guy, very good in 3 on 3 low situations, his turnover to takeover ratio is off the charts and he's just as effective on the penalty kill as he is on the power play. If he decides to play another season (5th year) I think he is a ‘no-brainer’ for the World University games in Lucerne, Switzerland next year.”
Before transferring from UCO, Bayley played NCAA DIII hockey for Aurora University and in the (NAHL) North American Hockey League with the Brookings Blizzard and Kenai River Brown Bears.
