December 8, 2023

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Tucson Ariz.- University of Arizona Wildcat Hockey picked up a 6-2 victory to even the Cactus Cup series at 2 on Friday night. The Wildcats were led by freshman, Trystan Swiger, who had two goals in the game and an assist. Wildcats captain, Jesse Lowell, would also pick up two goals and an assist in the game; Brody Selman (1G, 2A) and Nicholas Chiocca (3A) picked up three points apiece. Wildcat goaltender, Niklas Seppanen turned away 19 of the 21 shots he faced.

The Cats are back at home tomorrow night for the last game of the Fall semester vs. Arizona State. The Cats will also be hosting their 9th annual Pink the Rink game. The goal of the event is to help raise awareness about cancer and raise money for the University of Arizona Cancer Center. Be sure to wear pink and help us put cancer in the penalty box.

The Wildcats are headed into the winter break following the game tomorrow. After little over a month off the Wildcats will hit the road to play a series vs. Maryville. Maryville, coached by former Wildcat player John Hogan, is a top 10 ranked opponent and should make for an exciting series.
