The Wildcats defeated No. 5 Central Oklahoma 2-1 Thursday night at Arctic Edge Arena. It wasn't the team's sharpest performance, but were able to gut out a victory.

Alex O'Dea scored first for the Wildcats on a breakaway goal that slid through the five hole. The game-winning goal was scored by Robert Smythe which was his first as a Wildcat.

The star of the game went to goalie Garret Patrick who stopped 29 of 30 shots.

"Another gutsy effort," Head Coach Chad Berman said. "We weren't very sharp but we battled hard and found a way. Total team win."
