The Wildcats Hockey team started off the new year with a dominant 7-2 victory over rival Arizona State Friday night in Tempe. Dylan Carter, Toppie Hogan, Kyle Fargesen and Cam Armstrong each tallied a goal while newly-added forward Jason Zaleski added a goal of his own in his Wildcat debut to secure the win. Roy Grandov also got into the scoring parade with two goals of his own.

"That was a character building win," Coach Chad Berman said. "We stuck to our game plan for 60 minutes and showed that we are all pulling in the same direction."

The Wildcats will go for the two-game sweep of the Sun Devils tomorrow night at 7 p.m. in Tempe.
