During the 2016/17 season Wildcat Hockey fans witnessed one of the most impressive individual season performances in the history of the program. St. Louis native, Toppie Hogan, posted an incredible 64 points (30 goals/24 assists) in 33 games played, which makes him 3rd in the entire country (ACHA) in scoring.

After a season of hot streaks that never really ended, the WCHL came out with its league awards over the weekend and recognized Toppie for his tremendous efforts, selecting him as 1st team All-Conference and the WCHL Sportsmanship award.

“I couldn’t possibly be more proud of Toppie,” said Coach Berman. “Scoring 30 goals at this level is an incredibly difficult thing to achieve. He is one of the most determined competitors I have ever been around - which is what makes him so elite – he truly maximized his potential in every way possible.”

“His unrelenting desire for greatness is what separates him from everyone else, as a result, he has a very bright future ahead of him, no matter what path he decides. I know he has aspirations of joining the UA golf team next year and eventually taking his game to a professional level. I have no doubt that he will make that happen and I hope to be there when he plays in his first major event.”

Toppie will graduate from the University of Arizona with a major in Communications and a minor in Sports Management.
