Tucson, Ariz. – The #14 University of Arizona Wildcat hockey team defeated the Milwaukee School of Engineering 4-3 on Friday night at the Tucson Arena. Robert Smythe, Ethan Stahlhuth, Griffin Dyne, and Justin Plumhoff scored for the Wildcats.
"I'm proud of the way our guys stepped up and overcame a shaky first period," said UA head coach Chad Berman. "The seniors led our team well and we got the job done."
The Wildcats now have a 20-7-1 record. Arizona plays the Milwaukee School of Engineering again Saturday night at 7:30 pm at the Tucson Arena – the annual Pucks for Paws game. Fans can bring their dogs to the game for just $5 per pet, with all proceeds benefitting the Humane Society of Southern Arizona. (Each human must also buy a regular-priced ticket for the game.) The first 500 fans will receive a sticker that reads, "My Dog is a Cats Fan."
