Wildcats Answer Back with Huge 6-1 Victory Over the Rams

Tucson Ariz.- University of Arizona Wildcat Hockey bounced back a huge 6-1 win on Saturday afternoon. Both Alexander Johanson and Jesse Lowell picked up their first goal as Wildcats in the win. Nolan Bivolcic turned away 22 of 23 shots in the game to earn his second victory of the season.
When asked about the new players on the team Wildcats captain Anthony Cusanelli said “. The new guys have been awesome for us. It is good to see Jesse Lowell and Alex Johanson get rewarded. Even Hedgie (Chris Hedgecoke) have been awesome this year”
The Wildcats will hit the road next week for a pair of games vs. Grand Canyon University. The Wildcats played four games last season vs. GCU and scored 23 goals in the series. GCU currently holds a 1-4-1 record with forward Tyler Millar leading the team with 5 points.
The Cats will be back home on November 1st and 2nd to take on rival Arizona State for the first of 6 times at home this season. The Wildcats are 1-0-1 against the Sun Devils this season and are undefeated against the Sun Devils at home since 2017. On November 1st the Wildcats will raise the Western Collegiate Hockey League Championship banner which was won last season vs. ASU.
