#7 Arizona Edges #10 Arizona State 6-4

Tucson Ariz.- University of Arizona Wildcat Hockey beat out bitter rival Arizona State 6-4 after Wildcat forward, Max Meyer, scored the game tying goal and the game winning goal. Alex Johanson added 3 points on the night with a goal and 2 assists.  Wildcat goaltender Anthony Ciurro picks up the win stopping 26 of a possible 30 shots.

When asked about Arizona Wildcats first star, Max, Meyer, head coach, Chad Berman, said “I couldn’t be happier for Max he has been an unsung hero for us for a long time. He is a guy that does everything right and it is good to see him get rewarded.

The Wildcats will be back in action tomorrow (Saturday) night at 7:30PM  for the Ronald McDonald House of Southern Arizona  game to once again battle the Arizona State Sun Devils. The Cats are now 2-0-1 against ASU this season and only 3 wins away from re-claiming the Cactus Cup.

The Cats will be back home again next week to take on Central Oklahoma and Oklahoma University. The Wildcats are undefeated against the Oklahoma teams this season after playing them on the road back in the middle of October. Thursday’s game vs. Central Oklahoma will be another Thirsty Thursday with $2 Beers/Sodas.
