#7 Arizona Picks up 3-1 Victory Over #18 Oklahoma

Tucson Ariz.- University of Arizona Wildcat Hockey picked up there second win of the weekend with a 3-1 victory over Oklahoma. Arizona’s offense was led by Alternate Captain, Christopher Westlund, with 2 goals on the night. Goaltender Anthony Ciurro picked up his 7th win of the season and brining his record to 7-1-0.
When asked about Wildcats first star, Christopher Westlund, head coach, Chad Berman, said “Westy (Christopher Westlund) is the most consistent hockey player I have ever been around. The kid brings it every night, he is an absolutely irreplaceable player when he graduates and moves on.”
The Wildcats will be back in action Saturday at 1PM to take on Oklahoma University (OU) for the final time this season. The Wildcats are 2-0 vs. OU this season and will look to finish off the season sweep over both Oklahoma teams (OU and Central Oklahoma University). All University of Arizona students will receive free admissions to tomorrow’s game with a valid Cat Card.
Following this weekend, the Wildcats will play two home games on the 15th and 16th of November at 7:30PM vs. Western Michigan. The last time this two teams met was in the 2016 National Tournament where Wildcats defensemen, John Hogan, scored the overtime game winner to knock Western Michigan out of the tournament. That overtime goal ended a 13-year winless drought for the Cats in the National Tournament.
