#5 Arizona Wins Fourth Straight with 4-1 Win Over #14 UNLV

Tucson Ariz.- University of Arizona Wildcat Hockey picked up their fourth straight win with a 4-1 victory over the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Wildcats goaltender, Anthony Ciurro, made 27 saves of a possible 28 shots. Ciurro improves his record to 10-1 to tie him for 2nd in the ACHA in wins. Wildcats alternate captain, Bayley Marshall, contributed a power play goal and an assist in the victory. Freshman forward, Cameron Litwin, picked up his first ACHA goal.
When asked the win head coach, Chad Berman, said “I couldn’t be more proud of my group… we talk about depth and why it matters you got a lot of guys who are waiting for their opportunity so when you see them get their opportunity and take advantage of it it is pretty special.”
The Wildcats will be back in action Friday, December 6th, and Saturday, December 7th, to take on bitter rival Arizona State. ASU is currently ranked 15th in the ACHA and hold a 13-6-1 record. The Cats are 2-2 vs. ASU this season, both teams need 3 more wins to claim the Cactus Cup.
After Arizona plays ASU they will have a little over a month off before hitting the ice for their next game on January 17th to take on Missouri State. The Wildcats only have 6 home games during the second semester vs. Missouri State, Grand Canyon University, and Arizona State. The Cats will also play two series on the road vs. Colorado, Colorado state, and University of Nevada Las-Vegas
