Chad Berman, from Grand Rapids, Michigan, is now through his sixth season behind the Wildcat bench with an overall record of 117-84-6. Prior to the University of Arizona he came here from Robert Morris University-IL after ironically losing in the National Championship game to - who else - Arizona State University.
This marks the second consecutive season coach Berman has won the WCHL Coach of the Year. During his 6 seasons with the Wildcat’s his teams have won 2 consecutive WCHL Conference Championships, 3 consecutive Cactus Cups (season series vs ASU) and 4 Nationally recognized ACHA Community Service Awards.
Before coaching Chad played junior hockey for the Springfield Spirit and Lansing Capital Center in the (NAHL) North American Hockey League. After Juniors he played NCAA DIII hockey with SUNY Fredonia State.
