Wildcat Coach, Chad Berman, Named Honorary Commander

University of Arizona Wildcat hockey is proud to announce that head coach, Chad Berman, has been named an honorary commander of the 42nd Electronic Combat Squadron (ECS) Squadron at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. By accepting this position coach Berman will enter a 2-year partnership with the 42nd squadron and the Air Force Base.

When being asked about becoming an honorary commander, coach Berman said “It’s an honor and a privilege to even be considered. Being on base for the presentation was an incredible experience and one that my kids will never forget.”

Pictured in the photograph above is Lieutenant Colonel William “Echo” Grey the 42nd Electronic Combat Squadron (ECS) Squadron Commander on the left and Wildcat hockey coach, Chad Berman, on the right. Lieutenant Colonel Grey will be at the Wildcats military appreciation game on Saturday at 7:30pm to drop the ceremonial puck prior to the game vs. Grand Canyon University (GCU).

The 42nd Electronic Combat Squadron will be in the building for the Military Appreciation game on Saturday, November 6th, at 7:30pm as the Wildcats take on GCU. SSgt Evan Garnish of the 42nd Squadron will sing the National Anthem, and Lt Col Grey will drop the ceremonial puck. The Wildcats will wear their camo jerseys to honor those that are currently serving and have served our country.
