Wildcats Remain Undefeated at Home with 3-2 Victory Over GCU

Tucson Ariz.- University of Arizona Wildcat Hockey defeated Grand Canyon University 3-2 on Saturday night, in front of biggest crowd of the season. Wildcats defensemen, Cameron Teamor opened the goal scoring for the Wildcats in the first and would go onto score the game winning goal late in the third. Wildcats goaltender, Anthony Ciurro, picked up the victory for the Cats making 21 saves on 23 shots. The Wildcats are now 6-0 on home ice and on a 4-game winning streak.
When asked about the performance of Cameron Teamor Wildcats coach, Chad Berman, said “He is such a good humble kid, it is easy to be happy for him when he is having success… he is having a bit of a breakout year, so really happy for him.”
The Wildcats will hit the road next weekend to take the University of Colorado Buffaloes. The Buffs are coming off a weekend sweep on the road vs. rival Colorado State. They will enter play with an 8-6-1 record. Last season the Wildcats won all three games they played vs. Colorado.
The Wildcats will be back home on November 20th to battle the University of Oregon Ducks. This will be the first non-conference game the Wildcats will play this season, and the first time in team history they play the Ducks. This game will be the first Paws and Pucks game of the season where fans can bring their dogs to the game to cheer on the Cats. Dog tickets will be $5 and all proceeds will go the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.
