Wildcats Win Fourth Consecutive Cactus Cup

Tucson Ariz.- University of Arizona Wildcat Hockey picked up a massive 3-2 win on Saturday afternoon vs. rival Arizona State. With the win the Wildcats have won their fourth consecutive Cactus Cup, which is the trophy that goes to winner of Arizona and Arizona State in the 8-game series. Arizona scored a goal early in the first and followed it with two late in the third to secure the win. Wildcats players, Cameron Teamor, Alex Johanson, and George Orfanos picked up goals for the Cats. Goaltender, Nolan Bivolcic, stood tall in net and secured the win for Arizona.

The Wildcats will get next weekend off before playing two on the road against a very good Minot State team. Minot is currently ranked second in the ACHA and hold a 3-1 and a 3-2 victory over Arizona from early January.

Arizona will return home to play Arizona State again on February 18th and 19th. The February 18th game is set for a 7:30pm start and the Cats will honor the graduating senior class. February 19th will be a 1pm start, and fans can stay after the game to meet the Cats.
