Wildcats Sweep #2 Arizona State

Tucson Ariz.- University of Arizona Wildcat Hockey swept the #2 ranked Arizona State Sun Devils by a score of 2-1 on Friday and 4-0 on Saturday. Goaltender Nolan Bivolcic stood tall both nights picking up two wins and his second shutout in the last 3 games. Forward Will Josephson would leave the weekend with 2 points as would, Ryan Malko, Brody Selman, Dylan Walker, and defensemen Jarrett Overland.  

When asked about the 4-0 win on Saturday head coach, Chad Berman, said “Tonight was our ‘A’ game, that is what we have been looking for. I am really proud of my group.”

The Cats will be on the road over Veteran’s Day weekend to take on a tough Colorado State team. Colorado State currently ranked #19 and will be coming off a weekend set vs Central Oklahoma.

The Wildcats will be back home to take on Grand Canyon University on November 17th at 7:30pm. Make sure you bring your teddy bear or stuffed animals to the game to throw them onto the ice after Arizona’s first goal. All stuffed animals thrown onto the ice will be donated to Aviva Childrens Services. The Wildcats will also play their first 1pm of the season on November 18th vs the same Grand Canyon Lopes, and will host several schools in the Marana School District as a school fundraiser.
