Wildcats Beat Grand Canyon 5-3

Tucson Ariz.- University of Arizona Wildcat Hockey take down Grand Canyon University 5-3 on Teddy Bear Toss night. Arizona forward, Tyler Shetland, got the Wildcats off on the right foot and sent the stuffed animals flying when he scored early in the first period. Ryan Malko would add on later followed by Matt Maquis, Dylan Walker, and Josh Lusby. Both Tyler Sheltand and Eddie Slack walk away with two points on the night. Goaltender, Nolan Bivolcic, picks up the win stopping 26 of 29 shots faced.
The Cats are back in action tomorrow afternoon at 1pm to take on the same Grand Canyon Lopes. The Wildcats will host its annual school kids day and help fundraise for schools in the Marana School District. Fans in the stands will be able to enjoy $5 mini corn dogs and watch Arizona in action.
The Wildcats will be back home December 2nd and 3rd to take on rival Arizona State. The Cats currently hold a 2-0 lead against Arizona State in the battle for the Cactus Cup and will look to extend that lead and possibly clinch their 5th straight Cactus Cup. Both games are set for 7:30pm starts and should bring plenty of action to finish off the Fall semester.
