Wildcats to Play NCAA D1 Arizona State at Mullett Arena

Tucson Ariz.- University of Arizona Wildcat Hockey is excited to announce the addition of a NCAA D1 team to their away schedule in 2023-24. The Wildcats will head up to Mullett Arena in Tempe, Arizona early in the season to take on Arizona State.

Arizona State finished their NCAA D1 season with an 18-21 record, with two players that averaged over a point per game. ASU finished with four NHL draft picks on their roster and have sent over 20 players to play professional hockey in North America over the last 8 years as a NCAA D1 program.

When asked about the opportunity to play a NCAA Division 1 team, head coach, Chad Berman, had this to say. “We are incredibly excited about this opportunity.” Said coach Berman. “There is no doubt that this match up will be an immense challenge. We pride our program on providing the best experience for our student-athletes. Playing against a NCAA Division 1 program in front of a huge crowd at Mullett Arena will be an experience our players will never forget, and will serve as great motivation for our players Summer training.”
