Game Date Reveled for Arizona (ACHA) Vs. ASU (NCAA) Exhibition Game

The University of Arizona Wildcat Hockey is proud to announce a date for the scheduled Arizona hockey (ACHA D1) vs. Arizona State hockey (NCAA D1). The Wildcats will head up to Mullett Arena on October 6th, 2023 for a much anticipated game vs. Arizona State.

As previously stated the Wildcats are looking forward to opportunity to play an NCAA Division 1 team and gaining the valuable experience of playing a high level of competition. Head coach, Chad Berman, had this to say about the upcoming game. “We are incredibly excited about this opportunity.” Said coach Berman. “There is no doubt that this match up will be an immense challenge. We pride our program on providing the best experience for our student-athletes. Playing against a NCAA Division 1 program in front of a huge crowd at Mullett Arena will be an experience our players will never forget, and will serve as great motivation for our players Summer training.”

Arizona State competes as an independent team in NCAA Division 1 hockey and just made a splash by adding 5 transfers this off-season. ASU currently has three NHL draft picks on their team including newly added Alex Young who was drafted by San Jose Sharks in 2020. Other NHL draft picks include defenseman Ty Murchison (Philadelphia Flyers) and forward Ryan O’Reilly (Detroit Red Wings).
