Wildcats Sweep Arizona State to Win Regular Season Finale

Tucson Ariz.- University of Arizona Wildcat Hockey picked up a 6-5 win over Arizona State on Saturday afternoon to complete the weekend sweep. In a back and forth game the Cats came out on top thanks to a third period goal by freshman Michael Pizzo. Forward Brody Selman finished the game with one goal and two assists while Jesse Lowell, Will Josephson, and Tyler Shetland each picked two points in the victory. Goalie TJ DeMeuleunaere started the game but was replaced by Nate Gulsvig after taking an illegal check from an ASU player.

The Wildcats will have one more exhibition game at the TCC before heading off to the National Tournament vs the Arizona Coyotes Alumni. By partnering with the Tucson Roadrunners, we are excited to provide a day of Hockey in Southern Arizona. One ticket gets you into both the Wildcats game and the Tucson Roadrunners game later that evening. Come cheer on your Cats and see some Coyotes Alumni including Michael Grabner and Ray Whitney, make sure you stay after the game for the post-game autographing signing with the Alumni and Wildcat hockey players.

The Wildcats will graduate six players this season including John Shivley, Ryan Fischer, Matt Marquis, Brody Selman, Connor Ziegler and Wildcats captain, Jesse Lowell. We are sad to see all these players leave, but incredibly excited to see what their future holds.
