Pink The Rink

Help Wildcat Hockey put cancer in the penalty box!

This year the University of Arizona Ice Hockey team is holding its first “Pink the Rink” event to raise money for the University of Arizona Cancer Center. Players will be sporting pink U of A jerseys for the Saturday, January 24th game against Stony Brook to raise money and awareness for cancer. However, the color of the jerseys won’t be the only difference in the Wildcats’ game attire.

For the Pink the Rink game, the names on the back of the players’ jerseys won’t be their own, but rather the names of those who have had to battle cancer. Wildcat Hockey is giving people the opportunity to purchase these limited edition jerseys that will be worn by the players, and customize them with the name of a friend or loved one printed on the back. A special ceremony will then be held after the game, in which the players will present their game-worn jerseys to the purchasers.

People who want to purchase a Pink the Rink jersey will have the ability to choose which jersey they want on a first come- first serve basis. So if you have a player that you want to wear your customized jersey, or a jersey number has symbolic meaning to you, order soon. Jerseys are expected to sell out quickly, and there is only one for each player.

The Pink the Rink customized jerseys will be $250, and all the proceeds will go directly to the University of Arizona Cancer Center. Help Wildcat Hockey give back to the community and honor your loved ones.

To place your order or for more information about purchasing a Pink the Rink jersey, please email Head Coach Chad Berman at Again, supplies are limited, so get your jersey before they’re all sold.
