After an overwhelming loss last weekend to rival Arizona State, the Wildcats hope to find themselves back in the win column this Saturday night when they take on the University of Northern Arizona at the Jay Lively Activity Center (Ice Arena).

The Wildcats recently opened their season at home in a two-game series against the IceJacks back on 9/25 and 9/26, both resulting in UA victories. The second game against NAU included a shutout by backup goaltender Austin Wilson, who replaced Garrett Patrick in net during the second period against the Sun Devils last Saturday.

The team’s starting goaltender for Saturday is expected to be a game-day decision as usual.

The IceJacks enter Saturday night hoping to get their first win of the season, as they suffered another pair of losses to Utah State University last weekend.

Arizona center Robbie Wilkinson knows what to expect from NAU going into this game.

“We learned they’re a hard working team that plays a physical game. We expect a very physical game. It’s a smaller rink and that plays to their advantage.”
