Senior forward, Toppie Hogan, has started his third season with the Wildcats on fire!

The Wildcats have had their fair share of adversity, decimated by a long list of injuries. At that time, you expect your top (no pun intended) players to step up, and Toppie has in a major way.

In the month of October Toppie has strung together 9 goals and 11 assists in 10 games, equaling for 2 points per game.

“In my opinion Top is one of the most underrated players in the ACHA,” said Coach Berman. “He does everything right. I could put together a film session about his 3-on-3 low coverage, key face-off wins, puck support, shot blocks, back checks, etc. and would be just as impressive as his offensive production. His line, including his twin brother John and team captain, Dylan Carter, have been stepping up in a very big way”

Through the first 14 games of the season Toppie has tallied 29 points (15 goals and 14 assists), including an 8 game goal-scoring streak. Last season Toppie had 16 points (9 goals and 7 assists) in 29 games played, meaning he has almost doubled his production in nearly half the amount of games played.

“I owe it all to my line mates,” said Toppie Hogan. “Right now things are clicking for us and we are being rewarded for our hard work. My focus is always on taking care of my defensive responsibilities first and coming to the rink work to hard every day.”
