Tucson – The University of Arizona Wildcat Hockey team defeated Grand Canyon University with a score of 5-3 Friday night in the UA season opener. It was the first ever match-up between the two teams.

On Saturday night, the Wildcats defeated rival Arizona State University 8-4. Senior captain Orion Olsen scored two goals to lead the Wildcats.

"It's always a big win against ASU but we know we're just starting the hard work ahead," said head coach Chad Berman.

The next Arizona Hockey home stand is October 26-28 at the Tucson Arena.
