The future is bright!
In case you needed a reminder about the future of Wildcat hockey, the ACHA has narrowed down its finalists for their nationally acclaimed awards and a couple of freshman from Wildcats 2017-18 season are in the running!
Freshman standout, Anthony Cusanelli, continues to add to his very decorated award nominations for the 2017-18 season. This time he is being recognized nationally as a finalist for the ACHA: Player of the Year and Rookie of the year!
It should be noted that Cusanelli is the only freshman on the list. In fact, all of the other nominees are seniors.

Cusanelli has already taken home a full shelf of honors amongst his conference, winning 5 All-Conference awards, including:
1. WCHL M.V.P. (Most Valuable Player).
2. WCHL All-League 1st Team.
3. WCHL Rookie of the Year.
4. WCHL All-Rookie Team.
5. WCHL Sportsmanship Award.
Cusanelli also took home both team awards (elected by his peers):
1. Rookie of the Year
2. M.V.P. (Most Valuable Player)
In addition to Cusanelli, freshman goaltender, Anthony Ciurro has been named as a finalist for the ACHA All-Rookie Goalie Award. Ciurro put together a very impressive season that only got stronger as the season went on - eventually winning the starting job in the national tournament – putting on an impressive performance that lead to him being named Honorable Mention, All-Tournament!
