Toppie Hogan grew up in St. Louis, MO playing for the St. Louis AAA Jr. Blues. During his senior year he was named captain of the Afton Americans, helping to lead his team to a National Championship in 2013.

Toppie is the Twin brother of recent Wildcat Hockey alumni player and coach, John Hogan. The Hogan twins are most known for scoring the game-winning goal in overtime to defeat Western Michigan in the National tournament, marking the first National Tournament victory in 13 years for the hockey program!

Toppie spent two and half years playing for coach Berman and the Wildcats - finishing his last season in 2017. During this year Wildcat Hockey fans witnessed one of the most impressive individual season performances in the history of the program. Toppie tallied an incredible 64 points (30 goals/24 assists) in 33 games played; finishing 3rd in the entire country (ACHA) in scoring. At the conclusion of this season Toppie was abundantly recognized as: 2nd Team ACHA All-American, 1st Team WSHL All-Conference, and the WSHL Sportsmanship Award!

At the conclusion of his hockey career he turned in his stick for clubs, accomplishing his life-long dream of playing Division 1 golf for University of Arizona. Unfortunately, a mid-season injury ended his season in February, but a successful comeback lead him to have a strong summer, allowing him to turn pro in the beginning of August.

Toppie is extremely excited to begin a new chapter in his life and is thrilled to be behind the bench this year for the wildcats - something he has always wanted to do.
