TUCSON, Ariz – University of Arizona Wildcats Hockey returns to Tucson on Saturday, November 3 to take on the NHL Alumni Team at the Tucson Arena. The puck drops at 7:30 PM.
Veteran hockey broadcaster Tom Callahan will join the broadcast team for the exhibition game as a guest of Arizona Hockey. Callahan is the former voice of the NHL Nashville Predators, and has kindly contributed to past Arizona Hockey game broadcasts. Callahan also broadcast professional hockey in Tucson for the past two seasons with Arizona Hockey media director Timothy Gassen.
The game broadcast will begin at 7:20 PM this Saturday, through the team’s free YouTube video channel at www.youtube.com/c/uahockey
Tickets for the game on November 3 against the NHL Alumni Team will be 50% off with a ticket stub from Tucson Comic-Con (which is also at the Tucson Convention Center that weekend). Popcorn will be sold for only $1 at the concession stands inside the Tucson Arena. There will also be a Comic-Con costume contest held during the game.
A full roster of the NHL Alumni Team will be released during the week of the game, but we do know that NHL players will include former Arizona Coyotes Taylor Pyatt and Greg Adams. The NHL Alumni Team will also wear the jerseys of the NHL Arizona Coyotes.
Following five road wins through the first two weeks of October, the Wildcats own a 8-1-0 record. The Wildcats will go on the road one more time in October as they face off against the University of Central Oklahoma on Thursday, October 25, and the University of Oklahoma on Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27.
