ARIZONA WILDCATS HOCKEY vs THE NHL ALUMNI TEAM SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 3 at TCC

TUCSON, Ariz – University of Arizona Wildcats Hockey returns to Tucson on Saturday, November 3 to take on the NHL Alumni Team in an exhibition game at the Tucson Arena. The puck drops at 7:30 PM.

Some of the players for The NHL Alumni Team will include Greg Adams (18 seasons in the NHL with 1,056 games played, including with the then Phoenix Coyotes, along with 355 goals, and 388 assists – he is also an alum of Northern Arizona University), Dave Ellett (two time NHL All Star with 153 goals, 415 assists and 985 penalty minutes in 1,129 games played over 16 seasons in the NHL), Zbynek Michalek (a former Arizona Coyote who spent 15 seasons in the NHL tallying 178 points), and Stéphane Yelle (a two time Stanley Cup Champion with the Colorado Avalanche).

Garnet Exelby – Atlanta Thrashers, Toronto Maple Leafs

The NHL Alumni Team roster boasts more than 7,000 NHL games between them. Other NHL stars could be added before Saturday’s game, and we will update the NHL Alumni Team roster as we know it.

Tickets for the game on November 3 against the NHL Alumni Team will be 50% off with a ticket stub from Tucson Comic-Con (which is also at the Tucson Convention Center this weekend). Popcorn will cost only $1 at the concession stands inside the Tucson Arena. There will also be a Comic-Con costume contest held during the game.

Veteran hockey broadcaster Tom Callahan will join the broadcast team for this exhibition game as a guest of Arizona Hockey. Callahan is the former voice of the NHL Nashville Predators, and has kindly contributed to past Arizona Hockey game broadcasts. Callahan also broadcast professional hockey in Tucson for the past two seasons with Arizona Hockey media director Timothy Gassen.

The game broadcast will begin at 7:20 PM this Saturday, through the team’s free YouTube video channel at www.youtube.com/c/uahockey

After playing nine road games in the month of October, the Wildcats now own a 9-3-0 record.

The exhibition game against the NHL Alumni team will mark just the third of twenty-six home games played by the Wildcats during the 2018-19 season.

Arizona Wildcats Hockey will resume regular season play when they host Maryville University on Thursday, November 8 at 7:30 PM and Saturday November 10 at 1:00 PM. The Wildcats will finish off the weekend against Grand Canyon University on Sunday, November 11 at 4:00 PM.
