TUCSON, AZ – University of Arizona Wildcats Hockey returns to regular season play at the Tucson Arena after an exhibition match up this past weekend vs The NHL Alumni Team.

The Wildcats will face Maryville University (of St. Louis, Missouri) on Thursday, November 8 at 7:30 PM and Saturday, November 10 at 1:00 PM. The Wildcats will finish the weekend off with a game against Grand Canyon University on Sunday, November 11 at 4:00 PM. PLEASE NOTE THE THREE DIFFERENT GAME START TIMES.

All three games of the weekend are part of the Wildcats’ 2018-19 promotional schedule. November 8 against Maryville is “Thirsty Thursday,” with concession stands selling $2 beers and $2 sodas during the game.

Thursday, November 8 is also "UA Faculty and Staff Night." All game tickets are only $5 for UA faculty & staff -- so bring the entire family, or all your friends, and each game ticket cost will only be $5 when bought by UA faculty or staff! 

The Saturday, November 10 game against Maryville supports the Ronald McDonald house charity. The final game of the weekend on November 11 is the “Military Appreciation” game; tickets are only $5 with a military ID.

The match up against Maryville University is special because former Wildcats player and assistant coach John Hogan returns to Tucson as the head coach of Maryville. This will be the first time Hogan will return to the Tucson Arena since being an assistant coach last season for the Arizona Wildcats.

“It is going to be strange and fun, since he’s been such a fine player and coach here,” said Head Coach Chad Berman. “He will get a sense of how far his team has developed in their first year, playing against us.”

After playing nine straight road games in the month of October, the Wildcats now own a season record of 9-3-0 and hold a #15 ranking in the ACHA, and second place in the WCHL.

Arizona has 20 home games remaining in the season after their match ups against Maryville University and Grand Canyon University. The Wildcats will face Arkansas on Thursday, November 15 and then face Missouri State on Friday, November 16 and Saturday, November 17. All three of these games will start at the usual 7:30 PM puck drop.
