Arizona Wildcat hockey alumni, Tyler Griffith, has signed a professional contract to play hockey in the Sweden for Boro Vetlanda!
Boro Vetlanda was founded in 1958 and competes in the Taan South Division 2 league, which has developed several NHL players, including NHL All-Stars: Erik Karlsson and Johan Franzen. In addition, he will be playing under assistant coach, Daniel Ljungkvist, who won a championship in the SHL, one of Sweden’s top professional hockey leagues.
Through 17 games of Tyler Griffith’s professional debut he has produced 7 goals and 6 assists for Boro Vetlanda, who is currently in 9th place with a 5-13-4 record.
Griffith transferred to the University of Arizona after spending 3 seasons with Plymouth State University (NCAA Division III). Prior to that he played his junior hockey in the BCHL with the Coquitlam Express.
