TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona Wildcat hockey defeated the University of Oklahoma Sooners 5-2 Thursday night at the Tucson Arena.  Arizona goals were scored by Anthony Cusanelli, Ethan Stahlhuth, Chris Westlund, Cully Olsen, and Kyle Wade.

Head coach Chad Berman was pleased with his team’s defensive effort Thursday night stating, “We did a much better job of blocking shots tonight.  I think we blocked more shots tonight than we did in both games last weekend.”

Arizona faces off against #10 University of Central Oklahoma tomorrow night, Friday, January 18 and Saturday, January 19 at the Tucson Arena.  Arizona is tied for first place in the Western Collegiate Hockey League standings with UCO.

Following the games against Oklahoma and Central Oklahoma, University of Arizona Wildcat Hockey has seven home games remaining in the season. The next games will be against the University of Utah on Saturday, January 26 at 8:00 pm and Sunday, January 27 at 4:00 pm.
