#6 ARIZONA WILDCAT HOCKEY
WINS 2-1 THRILLER
VS. #16 UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO

TUCSON, Ariz. – #6 University of Arizona Wildcat Hockey defeated the University of Colorado Friday afternoon 2-1 at the Tucson Arena.  Arizona goals were scored by Josh Larson and Ethan Stahlhuth.

Wildcats head coach Chad Berman said, “We need to be tough in close games like this because this is how every game is going at be at the national tournament.”

The Wildcats propelled themselves into sole possession of first place in the Western Collegiate Hockey League standings after a win on Thursday night against Colorado State.  Arizona has three WCHL league games remaining in the regular season.  If the Widlcats win all three games, they are guaranteed the WCHL crown.

Arizona Wildcat Hockey returns to the TCC on Saturday, Feb. 2 to face the same University of Colorado.  The puck drops at 1 pm

Following the games against Colorado, the Wildcats will take a road trip to face the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.  Wildcat Hockey will then return to the Tucson Arena to face arch-rival Arizona State University on Friday, Feb. 22 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, Feb. 24 at 4 pm for the final home games of the 2018-19 season.
